Below are some of the most common questions we receive. If you have a question that is not answered here, please submit it using the form below.

• What does the app being in "alpha/beta" mean?

  The app is still in development and not yet considered "production ready". This means that while it is functional, there may be bugs, missing features, or other issues. We are actively working on improving the app and appreciate your feedback.

  We do want to make a particular note that something we have spent a certain amount of time and energy on is our backup and recovery tooling. In particular, we want you even in these "early stages" to feel comfortable using the app and know that your data is safe (both security wise but also reliability). We can't promise perfection and it's possible there will be issues. But we think we have a solid foundation in place.

• Why does the login button take me to a separate website? Is that supposed to happen?

  Yes, for a variety of reasons when we built the system we made a choice to separate out the account pieces. This means that the login button will take you to a separate website (which is still hosted/maintained/developed by us) where you can log in or create an account.

• Do I need a subscription (to pay) to use the app?

  No, the app does have some features that are available to "guests" (which simply means someone who doesn't have an account). And there is a basic/free tier which doesn't require a subscription/payment.

  That said, it's a significantly better experience if you do opt for a subscription.
